CHANUTE — The See-Kan RC&D project has received an $8,500 grant for the “Our Local Foods” program from the Kansas Rural Center of Whiting. See-Kan will use the grant to develop a network to connect local food producers in the southeast region of Kansas with consumers. The area covered by the grant includes Franklin, Miami, Anderson and Linn counties. The “Our Local Food” program is made possible by a $70,000 grant awarded to the Kansas Rural Center by the Kansas Department of Agriculture.
