OTTAWA – The Franklin County Cancer Foundation and Ottawa Library will have a silent auction Saturday from 10 to 4 at Garfield Elementary School as part of a medical fundraiser for the Leonard family. Three-year-old Asher Leonard, who is the son of children’s librarian Shannon Leonard, has been battling a rare type of brain cancer since October. Even though Asher has had two surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment, librarian Terry.Chartier says Asher’s spirit has remained strong and he’s an active three-year-older. Items include an Ozark trip, a hot air balloon excursion, appliances, plants, art and home items.
