OTTAWA – Work on the new juvenile detention center is nearly done. County administrator Lisa Johnson said the county will start showing it off next week. The first of three open houses begins Monday afternoon for other counties and agencies likely to send juveniles to the center, she said. Wednesday evening will be an open house for the public and Friday morning will feature a Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting and open house, she said.
