OTTAWA – The contractor that has been rebuilding the main runway at the Ottawa Municipal Airport has told the city the project will likely resume late next week. Emery Sapp & Sons rejected batches of concrete mixed for the runway, halted work, and more tests on a new cement formulation was ordered. City public works director Andy Haney said that the concrete testing is nearly done, and that the preliminary findings indicate there will be no concerns with the revised mix. He said the the contractor believes the project will be done on time despite the delay.
