WELLSVILLE — A Kansas City contractor has started repaving K-33 between K-68 in Franklin County and U.S. 56 in Douglas County. Workers for Vance Brothers will force asphalt into cracks and then apply a conventional seal onto the roadway. The $427,000 project covers about 10 miles. The Kansas Department of Transportation said traffic at the work zone has been reduced to one lane controlled by flaggers and pilot car during daylight hours. Motorists should expect delays of 15 minutes or less. The entire project should be finished in 10 days, weather permitting.
