OTTAWA — The Franklin County Historical Society will offer a history camp for the first time. Teacher Lindsey Flory will conduct the camp. “She thought it would be a good way to bring some new people into the Old Depot Museum,” said the historical society’s Susan Geiss. The day camp goes from Monday through Friday for sixth- through 10th-graders at the museum, she said. The students will do research and a recitation for the Friday night in which they’ll take an artifact from the society’s collection and dress up as a historical character and explain the artifact, she said. The camp is free but advance registrations are required. Check at either the Old Depot Museum or the historical society’s records center.
