LEBO — There was an explosion at an elevator at Lebo this afternoon, Coffey County Sheriff Randy Rogers said. Coffey County firefighters report that a small explosion caused a small fire at the top of an old wooden grain elevator at the Murphy Grain Company, he said. The fire has been put out and there were no injuries, Rogers said. Investigators from the Kansas Fire Marshal’s office and Coffey County Fire District No. 1 will look for the cause of the explosion and fire. There was no immediate damage estimate.
