KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Federal drug charges have been filed against 25 people in Johnson and Douglas counties. U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said a single-count complaint charges all the defendants with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than a ton of high grade marijuana in Douglas and Johnson counties since April 2008. They were arrested Wednesday. From Lawrence: Los Rovell Dahda, 30; Roosevelt Rico Dahda, 30; Sadie Brown, 25; David Essman, 35; Mark Romero, 31; Daniel Sieber, 31; Chad Bauman, 33; and Carey Willming, 36. From Olathe: Peter Park, 41; Justin Mercer, 35; and Michael Witt, 37. Also: Justin Pickel, 32, San Lorenzo, Calif.; Amos Hurst, 31, Seattle; Phillip Alarcon, 43, Hayward, Calif.; Jeffery Paviva, 39, Union City, Calif.; Samuel Villeareal II, 32, Overland Park; Wayne Swift, 39, Hayward, Calif.; Charles Kreisler, 38, Kansas City, Mo.; James Soderling, 42, Fort Bragg, Calif.; Simon Tyson, 27, Kansas City, Mo.; Trent Percival, 32, Overland Park; Chad Pollard, 34, Lenexa; Jason Hansen, 38, Lenexa; Jacob Paul Forbes; and Stephen Mallison Rector, 50, Kansas City, Kan. Grissom said he expects to be able to release more details about the investigation within a month.
