OLATHE, KS- As part of the click it or ticket campaign, the Olathe Police Department has gotten creative in its effort to enforce the law. Who might have seemed to be a utility worker tending to his usual duties could have been a policeman in disguise, trying to catch drivers who aren’t buckled up. Fox 4 News reports the department issued more than 1200 tickets for seat belt violations. The Ottawa Police department didn’t utilize the same tactic, but wrote 96 tickets for safety restraint violations during the campaign. The Click It or Ticket Campaign ran from May 21st to June 3rd.
