OTTAWA — Ottawa will hang on its Community in Schools program for another year. Originally, the group’s executive board considered turning the program over to state control and financing but Supt. Dean Katt said they decided to wait another year before deciding whether to join the state as a local chapter. Last week, Ottawa Community Partnership, the group that called off a fund drive for a new YMCA in Ottawa, said that some donors instructed the group to divide left-over money among 10 area agencies, including Community in Schools.
