GARDNER — This morning, the city of Gardner has rescinded its boil water order issued Saurday night. The city issued the order after the water system lost pressure Saturday evening because of a water line break. The city said it issued the boil order because when such a loss of pressure occurs, it’s possible for contaminants to enter the system. Also, chlorine residuals may drop to levels that don’t protect against bacterial contamination.
