OTTAWA — The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce has reopened the search for chamber president to the end of July.  Two of the four finalists for the job withdrew withdrew their applications, chamber chair Mike Skidmore said. Although the two remaining finalists had many of the qualities the chamber was looking for, the board decided to extend the search, and see if other candidates apply, he said.  The chamber board decided to roll back the goal of filling the president’s position from  Aug. 1 to Sept. 1, he said.  In the interim, he said several volunteers are working in the chamber office to deal with issues and to support the chamber membership and staff.  The winning candidate would succeed Tom Weigand, who was named Junction City’s chamber president and economic development director.
