TOPEKA — Ninety-one Kansas counties are eligible for emergency haying and grazing of Conservation Reserve Program land. The emergency order went into effect today, U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts said. Those counties include Franklin, Anderson, Douglas, Miami, Osage and Linn counties. Roberts said he’s pleased the U.S. Department of Agriculture responded quickly to bring relief to those counties affected by the severe drought.
