HOMEWOOD — The Franklin County Sheriff’s office is investigating a head-on crash that injured a 34-year-old Ottawa woman and closed I-35 near Homewood for about an hour early Saturday morning. Terry Noble was driving north in the south-bourd lanes of I-35 near Homewood, when her small SUV hit a semi-truck head-on, Sheriff Jeff Curry said. She was taken by helicopter to KU Medical Center, Curry said. The trucker wasn’t injured. Curry said there has been no cause determined in the crash but he said alcohol may have played a role.
