IOLA — A Missouri bullrider was killed this weekend while competing in the Allen County Fair Rodeo at Iola. The Iola Register reported that Justin Jeffries, 22, Cole Camp, Mo., was bucked off a bull. He hit the ground on his back and the 1,700-pound bull’s hind hooves hit Jeffries in the chest and stomach. He was wearing helmet and a vest. Allen County EMTs treated him at the scene and took him to Allen County Hospital, where he died. It’s the first fatality in the 27-year history of the Allen County Fair Rodeo.
