GARNETT — The first production in the Garnett Chamber Players’ 22nd season is “Daddy’s Dyin’ …Who’s Got the Will?” The play is a southern-fried comedy by Del Shores, who wrote it for Broadway and later as a movie starring Beau Bridges, Beverly D’Angelo and Judge Reinhold. The adult children of the Turnover family return to the old homestead as daddy Buford Turnover is suffering from advanced dementia and is expected to die at any minute but doesn’t seem to be in any hurry. The result is a family circus. Performances are August 17-19 and 23-25 at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and 12:30 on Sunday afternoons in the Thelma Moore Community Playhouse in Garnett. Advanced tickets are required and are available by calling (785) 304-1683. Check the Web site: www.thechamberplayers.org.
