TOPEKA — More than 400 residents in two precincts in Shawnee County will redo the primary election Tuesday in Topeka. The Shawnee County election board ordered the do-over after they learned that voters were given the wrong ballots. The Topeka Capital-Journal reported that the supervising judge at the polling station at the Light of the World Christian Center in southern Topeka was later fired. The other election judges were going to receive additional training before Tuesday’s special election. The re-vote could affect the outcome of the Republican nomination in the 52nd House District where unofficial results show Shanti Gandhi leads Dick Jones by 45 votes.
