OTTAWA — At their next regular meeting next week, Ottawa city commissioners will set a public hearing for Oct. 3 concerning the move of Advantage Ford to a new location on 23rd Street on the south edge of the city. Commissioners discussed the hearing Monday. The hearing on creating a redevelopment district for the new site of the dealership, said city finance director Scott Bird. The district would be a TIF – tax increment finance – district, he said. Under the TIF guidelines, the taxes from the increased value of the site would be plowed back into paying off the infrastructure improvements at the site, he said.
