LAWRENCE — Buckwheat Zydeco will perform a free outdoor concert at the Lied Center at Kansas University Friday night at 7. Bring blankets, lawn chairs and pack a picnic for the event on the Lied Center lawn. Additional activities begin at 6, including a puppet show by Priscilla Howe, face painting and button making, and a display featuring the post-nuclear-apocalypse movie “The Day After,” which was partly filmed in Lawrence.
