MICHIGAN VALLEY — The Kansas Highway Patrol has identified a 72-year-old Vassar woman as the victim in a car-truck accident on K-268 at Green Acres near Michigan Valley Wednesday evening. Troopers said Mary Hart pulled out onto the highway from Doman General Store to go west on K-268 in front of an asphalt semi-truck driven by Robert Smock, 42, Grantville. Smock’s semi struck Hart’s car on the driver’s side, then went off the road about 100 to 150 yards, coming to rest in the middle of a pasture. Her car ended up in the middle of the highway. Smock reported possible injuries, the highway patrol said.
