HARVEYVILLE — Nearly 120 Topekans volunteered to help beautify the tornado-ravaged town of Harveyville before its annual fall fair later this month. The Topeka Capital-Journal reported the volunteers spent a day planting about 50 trees and 800 flowers, painting homes and repairing fences. Much of the town of 250 people was severely damaged Feb. 28 by an EF-2 tornado. The 75th annual Harveyville Fair is Sept. 28-29.
