KANSAS CITY – A mother and an aunt have been indicted in federal court in connection with the death of a 20-year-old Garnett man last year. Joshua Auclair, who was found in the 800 block of West 8th Street in Garnett, was pronounced dead at Anderson County Hospital in Garnett early in the morning of July 31, 2011. An investigation into Auclair’s death showed that he had overdosed on prescription and illegal drugs, Garnett police said. His mother, Tammy Redel, 38, Edgerton, was charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute a mixture of oxycodone and morphine with death and serious bodily injury resulting from its use, one count of distributing morphine with death and serious bodily injury resulting from its use; one count of distributing oxycodone, one count of distributingof alprazolam, and one count of distributing amphetamine, occurring in Garnett. Auclair’s aunt, Stacy Ashley, 35, Edgerton; was charged with one count of distributing oxymorphone with death and serious bodily injury resulting from its use, and one count of distributing amphetamine.
