OTTAWA — Franklin County Habitat for Humanity will start a new house at 740 Elm street, just south of the Nazarene Church on 7th Street, and is looking volunteers to help frame the house on Saturday. The house is being built for David and Whitney Bethea and their children. Habitat’s Cindy Dengel said volunteers who know framing, power tools and carpentry are especially needed but everyone is welcome. Volunteer check-in is Saturday morning at 8:30 and the work day will be from 9 until 4, but Dengel said volunteers are welcome even if they can’t stay the whole day. Lunch will be provided. Call 241-2472.
