OTTAWA–There is still a lot of mystery surrounding reports that the Kansas Bureau of Investigation is investigating the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s Department Spokesman Jerrod Fredricks delcined to comment beyond confirming there was an investigation. He also declined to do a recorded interview. KOFO placed a call to the KBI, and they declined comment. KOFO also contacted the Attorney General’s Office, and spokesman Jeff Wagaman also would neither confirm or deny whether the Attorney General Office is involved.
