TOPEKA — The chief judge of the Kansas Court of Appeals, Richard Greene, has died at 62. Kansas Judicial System spokesman Ron Keefover said Greene died Sunday at a Cleveland hospital where was being treated for a heart condition. Greene served on the appeals panel since 2003 and was appointed to lead court two years ago. Gov. Sam Brownback will pick a successor from a list recommended by a judicial nominating committee.
