TOPEKA — The next time a state trooper pulls you over for speeding, you’ll pay. You already knew that. But you’ll no longer have the satisfaction of tearing your tickets into tiny bits. This week, the Kansas Highway Patrol will begin issuing electronic citations and not the old paper tickets. Troopers will start in northwest Kansas and the electronic tickets will move east over the next few months. The highway patrol said the e-tickets will speed up the flow through the state court systems. It won’t reduce your fine, though.
