OSAWATOMIE — Rumors apparently fueled by an anonymous Facebook page has damaged an Osawatomie business. The Osawatomie Graphic reported the Facebook page claimed La Hacienda refuses to serve mentally or physically disabled people from Lakemary Center in Paola and Tri-Ko and called for a boycott of the restaurant. La Hacienda owner Alex Castillo told the paper that he noticed that business fell off over this summer and was puzzled until another business owner pointed out the Facebook posting. Officials from Lakemary and Tri-Ko denied the rumors, saying they and their clients have received good service from the restaurant. They said they’re irked their agencies have been used to damage La Hacienda.
