OTTAWA — Resurfacing work on K-68 on the east side of Ottawa is now under way. The project starts just east of I-35 and continues east for about one mile, ending east of Nevada Terrace. Killough Construction of Ottawa is placing a 1½-inch asphalt overlay on the highway. One-lane traffic will be directed through the work zone by flaggers and a pilot car during daylight hours. The Kansas Department of Transportation said motorists can expect delays of 15 minutes or less. A lane-width restriction of 12 feet is also in effect on the project. The project should be done later this week, weather permitting.
