TOPEKA — A bizarre road rage incident Friday evening caused a five-vehicle chain-reaction pileup in Topeka, injuring two people and delaying a high school football game. As traffic went to one-lane on U.S. 24 in front of the Goodyear Tire plant because of construction, a maroon-colored car cut off a car driven by 26-year-old Nichole Langley, 26, Topeka; the Kansas Highway Patrol said. Troopers said Langley honked her horn when the car cut her off. Troopers said the driver in the first car slammed on the brakes after Langley honked her horn, put the car in reverse and slammed into the front of her car. That set off a chain-reaction involving five vehicles. Langley was injured, as was a passenger in another vehicle, Audrey Lynch, 26, Midland, Texas. The first car fled the scene. The traffic jam trapped a school bus with a football team and the team’s football game was delayed.
