OTTAWA — Ottawa University defensive back Donald Anderson has been named the NAIA’s national defensive player of the week for his game against Friends Saturday. Anderson was also named the KCAC defensive player of the week. Anderson led an Ottawa defense that picked off seven passes and forced eight turnovers in the Braves’ 35-3 win over the Falcons.. Anderson set a new school record and NAIA individual game high with four interceptions. His second interception was returned 62 yards for a touchdown. Anderson also broke up one pass and had eight tackles. Because of his game against Friends, Anderson ranks 17th nationally in interceptions.
