PAOLA — Two Miami County commissioners held off stiff challenges in Tuesday’s election. Second District republican incumbent ‘Rob’ Roberts won in a three-way race. She received 1,246 votes. Democrat Callie Benton received 1,095 votes. Independent Jack Rowlett, Jr., received 544 votes. Third District Republican incumbent George Pretz held off Democratic challenger Will Cutburth of Osawatomie. Pretz had 1,339 votes, Cutburth 1,031 votes.
