OTTAWA — Three new Ottawa police officers have graduated from the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center at Hutchinson. Police Chief Dennis Butler said the new officers, Justin Bulcock, Bryce Hart, and Michael Mikolajczyk; are receiving field training from experienced Ottawa police officers for about 14 more before going on solo patrol in January. Bulcock is a junior at Washburn University completing his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in public administration. Hart graduated Fort Scott Community cCollege and Pittsburg State University with a bachelor’s degree in justice studies. Mikolajczyk was a military policeman at Fort Riley. Bulcock and Hart received two of the top scores in firearms proficiency. All three officers placed in the top half of their class academically.
