OTTAWA — After two changes to the contract, the Ottawa City Commission is prepared to agree to spend $60,000 for economic development services with Franklin County Development Council. Commissioners looked at the final draft of the contract Monday and will vote on the deal Wednesday morning. Contract changes include a requirement for periodic audits of FCDC books and the setting aside of at least 10 percent of money from the city and county to be used for a revolving fund for projects meant to boost jobs from new or existing businesses, city finance director Scott Bird said. The county has approved a similar deal but was waiting on the city to make final changes before OKing the final contract.
