OTTAWA — Ottawa police are investigating the burglary of musical instruments from two local religious facilities. Investigators are looking at whether the two burglaries are related, Capt. Adam Weingartner said. Musical instruments including electric guitars, keyboards and other equipment were taken from Faith Lutheran Church prior to the weekend. Musical instruments, including violins and other stringed instruments, were taken from Ottawa University Chapel. Weingartner said some instruments from Faith Lutheran Church were recovered after a Lawrence man bought them and recognized them. Police are trying to identify who sold the instruments to the man, he said.
