OSAWATOMIE — The new Osawatomie City Council ward boundaries go into effect on Tuesday. The changes were made to balance population in the city’s four wards, based on the results of the 2010 Census, the city said. The first and second wards won’t change. A few blocks were shifted from the Third Ward to the Fourth Ward. Those blocks include the area west of Sixth Street, south of Brown Avenue and east of Eighth Street; and the area south and east of the railroad yard, west of Sixth Street, but north of Kelly Street.
