OTTAWA — A 16-year-old boy jumped from the Main Street bridge into the Marais des Cygnes River Thursday afternoon. Ottawa police described the teen’s jump as a suicide attempt. The teen survived the nearly 40-foot fall and was met at the river bank by Ottawa police officers. The teen was taken to a Kansas City-area hospital.
