GARNETT — The Anderson County Review reports no one has yet to file in local races in Anderson County. One Garnett City Commission position is open. That seat is held by Greg Gwin. City commissioners receive $450 per month and the mayor receives $500 monthly. The mayors and five council seats are open in Colony, Greeley, Kincaid and Westphalia. In school districts, Anderson County USD 365 Board of Education has three seats up for election, and Crest USD 479 Goard of Education has four seats up for election. In USD 365, those seats are Position 4, held by Pat Rockers; Position 5, held by Mike Barnes, and Position 6, held by Deanna Wolken. In Crest, those seats are Position 4, held by Frank Stewart; Position 5, held by Jeff Strickler, Position 6, held by Bryan Miller and the vacant at-large position 7, previously held by Kloma Buckle.
