OTTAWA — Two men remain in the Franklin County jail on $75,000 bond in connection with an armed robbery at the Princeton Quick Shop Friday night. William Pope, 31, Garnett; and Dalton Dunnagan, 22, Mound City; were booked on suspicion of aggravated robbery and other counts. Two men entered the shop and one brandished what appeared to be a hand gun and demanded money from the cash register, Franklin County Master Deputy Jerrod Fredricks said. The cashier complied and gave the robbers a little more than $1,200 from the register, he said. Within minutes, Ottawa police officers pulled over a car matching the description of the car used in the robbery along I-35 between the K-68 and 15th Street interchanges, he said. A 30-year-old Topeka woman was in the car with the two suspects, he said. She was questioned but released. Sheriff Jeff Curry said he’s grateful to the Ottawa Police Department for their fast response to this robbery and offered thanks to his deputies as well.
