OTTAWA — Franklin County deputies were called to a domestic disturbance in the 4200 block of Arkansas Road west of Appanoose Sunday afternoon. A 27-year-old woman told deputies that her stepfather pushed her to the floor after the two argued over the type of food she was feeding her children. The woman’s mother witnessed the fight and advised he left the home before deputies arrived. James Lankard, 50, Pomona; later turned himself at the sheriff’s office. He was booked on suspicion of domestic battery.
