OTTAWA — A last-minute flurry of filings in means voters in some Franklin County cities will have choices in April. In Richmond, five people filed for two city council seats. Candidates are Helen Feuerborn, Ricky Weber, Mary Anne Platte, Doug McIntosh and Barbara Lane. Sheldon Snow was the only candidate filing for mayor. In Williamsburg, five people filed people have filed for three city council seats. Candidates are Ralph Stover, Jr.; Dennis Norton, Gene Hirt, Amber Smith and Sheila Worden. In Wellsville, four have filed for three city council seats – Ryan Young, Dave Edwards, Jarrod Eggleston and Travis Jones. Three candidates filed for two Rantoul City Council seats – Mark Johnson, Don Covington and Mary Ghormley. Wanda Martin filed for mayor. There are no contested races in Princeton, Lane and Pomona. Ronald Aatchison, Kathy Jones, Jo Allen and Carol Lingo filed for Princeton City Council, leaving one vacancy; and Chris Hutchison for mayor. In Pomona, Jerald Johnson and Jay Meador filed for the two city council seats and Mayor Marie Seneca filed for re-election as mayor. In Lane, two people – Betty McHale and Judy Birchard – filed for the five seats open.
