EMPORIA — The “Sundays at the Site” series returns Sunday afternoon at 2 at the Red Rocks State Historic Site, 927 Exchange St., Emporia. Red Rocks is the home of William Allen White, the Pullitzer-Prize winning publisher of the Emporia Gazette. Sunday’s free program is called “Father, Son, and Country on the Eve of World War II.” Karen Manners Smith will discuss the White family before the war. Treats from the kitchen of the White women will be served. There will be free programs about the Whites and Emporia, through the rest of the month.
