OTTAWA — A Minnesota professor who has scientifically proven hope is good for your will be Ottawa University’s annual Hostetter-DeFries Family speaker tonight and Thursday in the Fredrikson Chapel. Tonight at 8, Dr. Robert Veninga will speak on “Bouncing Back: The Remarkable Attribute Called Resilience!” He’ll talk about how Americans manage to bounce back despite some of the toughest economic, political and social times they’ve faced. Thursday morning at 11, he will speak on “Which Wolf are You Feeding? Lessons on Fear, Folly and Faith.” He’ll talk about the scientific knowledge about the miracle of hope in human life. Both speeches are free and open to the public. His research has been featured on national television programs and in national publications.
