GARNETT- The National Weather Service will present a storm spotter talk in Garnett Tuesday night at 7 at the North Lake Community Building in Garnett.  The presentation is free and open to the public.  The presentation will last an hour or slightly more and will be given by a Weather Service meteorologist. The training will focus on storm structure and accurately identifying important cloud features associated with super-cell thunderstorms.  This year, the Weather Service will provide additional on-line spotter training.  The one-hour training course is focused on the basics of convective weather and storm structure.  The Weather Service encourages all county spotters and others who are interested in becoming spotters to complete this training as an introduction into basic spotting concepts.
