OTTAWA — The preliminary hearing for a 39-year-old Ottawa man charged in connection with the accidental shooting of a 4-year-old boy in north Ottawa has been set for March 15 in Franklin County District Court. The hearing will determine if there is enough evidence to hold a trial for Brian Keith Bruno on charges of aggravated endangerment of a child, endangerment and aggravated battery. Bruno is accused of shooting the boy in the leg in early December after police said he showed a handgun to someone else and pulled the trigger, thinking it was unloaded.
