OTTAWA – Ottawa USD 290 School Supt. Dean Katt officially resigned Friday morning. Katt announced the resignation in a special meeting with the Ottawa school board. The board voted 5-1 to accept Katt’s resignation, effective immediately. Bryan Krause will serve as the interim superintendent until a permanent replacement is hired. Katt told the board he was very appreciative for his chance to serve as Ottawa superintendent. Katt will stay on until Oct. 31 as a district consultant.
