NEW STRAWN — A 47-year-old Yates Center woman was killed in a head-on, two-vehicle crash on U.S. 75 south of I-35 in Coffey County Friday afternoon. Lucinda Burnett, Yates Center, was driving north on U.S. 75 when her car went left of center and hit a pickup driven by 55-year-old Joseph Rottinghaus, 55, Hutchinson, head-on, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. She was killed. He was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka for what the highway patrol called disabling injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
