OTTAWA — If it’s any consolation, if you don’t like cold weather, neither do criminals. At Monday’s study session, Ottawa Mayor Blake Jorgensen noted the sharp decrease in crime in January and wondered if it was a start of a trend. But Police Chief Dennis Butler threw some cold water on his thought, noting that the drop in crime was more attributable to the spate of cold temperatures.
