OUTER SPACE — There’s a new visitor to Ottawa.  That’s the Comet Pan-STARRS which has swung into a position in which it can be seen in the northern hemisphere.  Because it’s still on the western horizon, it’s hard to see because of the bright twilight from the setting sun.  However, the web site spaceweather.com says as the position of Comet Pan-STARRS moves higher in the sky each night, it will be easier to see.  After nightfall, look west, directly underneath the waxing crescent moon.
