OTTAWA — In the wake of the sudden resignation of Ottawa School Superintendent Dean Katt March 1, Assistant Ottawa School Superintendent Brian Krause is now running the district. Krause’s main focus was human resources but now he’s now the running man. Krause said when he started a few years ago, there were three district administrators. Now there’s one – Krause, who said he’ll be busy for the rest of the school year. The district has hired the Kansas Association of School Boards to search for a successor to Katt, he said. The KASB posted the Ottawa vacancy this week. The deadline to is April 14.
