GARDNER–The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department says deputies will continue searching an area west of Gardner to find clues about the identity of a human skull. Two men found the skull in a wooded area along 215th Street and Gardner Road Monday evening while they were looking for deer antlers. The Sheriff’s Office says the skull had been there for a long time; it wasn’t known how long. Johnson County Deputy Rick Howell says deputies will search the property for more clues a quarter section at a time for as long as needed.
